David Eardley’s grandmother has influenced his taste from design to cocktails.
David Eardley draws curatorial inspiration from his grandmother, Ann, who adorns her San Francisco home with eclectic and thoughtful designs. Her passion for art, furniture, and objects has influenced Eardley’s work with Pink Essay, a design collective centered on experience and archival community building. “Our relationship is full of conversation, long stretches of time on the phone, with little sense of pressure or obligation to be any sort of way,” Eardley fondly recounts to Family Style. “In fact, there’s really only one request I get from her, every time I visit in-person: an ice-cold martini with castelvetrano olives,” he adds. “A tasty cocktail for a woman with great taste.”
Ingredients

- 2 to 4 Castelvetrano olives
- ¾ ounce dry vermouth
