Art is both personal and uniting. For Family Style's third Heart of Hosting dinner with CHANDON, Arts Editor K.O. Nnamdie utilized the transformative quality of a white cube space—specifically Anonymous Gallery in New York—to celebrate photography and the spirit of the lower Manhattan art scene.
Family Style contributor Jesse Gouveia was the person of honor for the evening, and a close circle of friends, including the artists Anna Park and Kayode Ojo, were treated to an early preview of his new show "Plaid," ahead of its opening before they sat down to dine. Situated amongst Gouveia's floor-to-ceiling intimate prints, the group enjoyed a curated Japanese izakaya menu of chicken karaage, tofu agedashi, and assorted nigiri, all of which were perfectly paired with crisp CHANDON Brut and CHANDON Brut Rosé.
The affair was a full family moment and one that proves that special moments like these can occur anywhere there's a will and a heart.
