Draped in a wardrobe of airy romantic dresses and versatile sets, model Taylor Hill explores the beaches of Mérida, Mexico under the blazing sun alongside Ibby Sow, Marlon Teixeira, and Melodie Vaxelaire. Each image from Banana Republic’s Summer 2024 campaign photographed by Josh Olins encapsulates intimacy and ease. The group exudes confidence and sophistication, dressed in minimalist designs with bleached neutrals, sun-faded pastels, and vivid coral-reef brights.
The brand’s summer staples for this season include elegant two-piece sets and chic maxi and midi dresses for women. There are subtle linen suits, button-down shirts, and polos for men. Nicole Wiesmann, head of men’s design at Banana Republic, finds inspiration in Banana Republic’s New York archive as well as across flea markets in California. “What I am most excited about in menswear is our signature linen, summer weight cashmere, the knit resort sets, and our traveler pull-on linen trousers,” says Wiesmann. Perfect for a spontaneous trip.
Originally named "Banana Republic Travel & Safari Clothing Company," Banana Republic continues to find inspiration in the modern explorer nearly five decades after its inception. Its Summer 2024 collection “is grounded in the idea of traveling, exploring beautiful destinations, and experiencing new adventures,” says Bettina Mueller, head of women’s design at Banana Republic. The black-and-white striped patterns, saturated hues, and sheer layerings are infused with a playfulness and freedom that only comes alive once summer air takes hold.
Banana Republic Summer’s 2024 collection is now available to purchase at all Banana Republic stores as well as online.
