The holiday spirit was in the air the other evening at Lord's—as was the woody scent of mistletoe. In collaboration with John Lobb, Family Style transformed the beloved downtown English bistro into a house of intrigue for one night only, aptly naming the occasion Lobb at Lord's. Creatives from all walks of the arts joined both brands' respective families to celebrate the holiday season as well as the one-year anniversary of the shoemaker's boutique in New York City. With Pimm's Cups aplenty, guests enjoyed a bespoke four-course supper created in collaboration with chef Ed Szymanski, which featured Lord's' iconic 6-minute 20-second boiled scotch egg, beautiful venison carpaccio with sunchoke and rosemary, and—the star of the night—a gargantuan beef Wellington with all the creamy, crunchy trimmings to match. The Christmas crackers and line of jelly cakes after atop the restaurant's bar were the cherry—or the mistletoe—on top.
